We depend a great deal on our volunteers and their gift of time. As we grow and change, volunteers are needed to meet our changing environment.

Each year our volunteers contribute tens of thousands of hours helping us provide high quality care to our patients, visitors, and community. If you are willing to give four hours a week, we have a position for you! We ask all of our new volunteers to give a minimum of 40 hours of service to our organization. We allow flexible scheduling for most of our volunteers, so you can plan your service around your lifestyle.

Once you have completed all volunteer forms you will be contacted to:
• Meet and interview
• Find assignment
• Complete orientation
• Complete forms for background check
• Bring in immunization forms, take your picture for ID badge, have a TB test completed
Tuberculosis Skin Test
Everyone who wishes to volunteer must have a Mantoux 2 Step Tuberculosis Skin Test (TBT). This is given free of charge in our Health Office. If you can provide documentation of receiving a TBT Skin Test within the past 12 months, only one TBT is required. Otherwise, you will need to have the 2 Step TBT done. This is a requirement for all employees and volunteers. You need to provide a copy of your Immunization Record with proof of the MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccine.
Criminal Records Search
This is a routine check done on all adult volunteers and team members. The amount of time it takes for us to receive the results varies. There is no charge to you for the background check.
Once the application process is completed, TB Skin Tests are completed, and background check is returned satisfactory, we will contact applicant with a schedule, sign in procedure, and Volunteer Number.
Volunteers generally serve about four hours a week, wear a uniform, a name tag and sign in-and-out each time they volunteer. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask during the interview or give call us. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
